The Friends of Sinfin Moor Park Local Nature Reserve help to manage the site for the benefit of wildlife and the community.

All work undertaken on the site is done in accordance with the Management Plan prepared by James Frith, Ecologist.

Here is a link to the Management Plan 2009-2014, which can be found on Derby City Council's website:

The latest Management Plan was issued in 2014 (coming soon to this website) and incorporates          measures to implement the Higher Level Stewardship scheme.  Sinfin was one of a few    Nature Reserves in Derby city to be awarded a grant for this by Natural England.  Under this scheme, grassland is being managed by mowing and also eventually by cattle grazing to provide the conditions for wildflowers to flourish and create a good habitat for a range of wildlife.
