On Sunday 12 May the Friends of Sinfin Moor Park welcomed Sinfin Running Club, chaired by Duncan Cowie, pictured with the team, and the 350 participants from around the county and beyond, who took part in the second annual 5 Mile Run. There was also a family friendly one mile run around the playing field. The sun came out and may have been just a little too warm for some, but there was a really great atmosphere. Many runners and their supporters, as well as regular cafe goers, appreciated the friendly service at the Cafe. Duncan thanked the Friends group for their partnership in hosting the event, saying that it made all the difference to making the morning such a success.
