On 6 June the Derby Voluntary Sector Awards night was held at the Museum of Making in Derby, organised by Community Action in partnership with Derby Homes. The Friends of Sinfin Moor Park Local Nature Reserve and Colin Attenborough (posthumously) were presented with the Green Ambassador Award for their contribution to improving a green space for the local community. Jean Lung, John Harrison and John Bland from the Friends group were joined by Colin's daughters, Julie and Jane, to receive the award. The achievement is very much the result of the fantastic team effort of the whole Friends group, working together to transform the Park and Nature Reserve and provide a very welcoming community cafe. A very proud moment!
